Welcome to the La Grande Mavericks Riding Club.  We are a 501(c)4 Oregon non-profit club. We strive to promote traditional family values through equine activities and supporting the youth of 4-H, youth equestrian activities.  The Mavericks continues to work to preserve the history of our organization and maintain an arena and spectator stands available for appropriate community activities with the goal of making a valuable contribution to the community.  We hope that this site will be a resource for the public, Maverick members, and anyone interested in attending equine activities.  Even weary travelers looking for overnight lodging for your horse.  Please contact us if there is something that you would like to see here, or you are a member with photos to share. We hope to see you at our events.  Volunteer help is always needed and appreciated!!

The La Grande Mavericks Riding Club requires that all State and Local Covid 19 guidelines be followed.

MEMBERSHIP/WAIVER APPLICATION - Our liability waiver is contained within the Membership Application.  We require that users submit a current signed form each year prior to use of the facility.  We are on Facebook at La Grande Mavericks Riding Club (application form is located in photos), or you may contact us at 541-963-3991, OR EMAIL lagrande.mavericks@gmail.com to request your membership application.

2024 ACTIVITY SCHEDULE
The Mavericks is getting ready for a busy 2024 season.  This year marks 81 years for our organization.  All of our club events are open to the public spectators at no charge.  You are welcome to come out and watch any club activities including Roping, Barrels and Club Playdays.

Playdays:   Our schedule this year will begin in May, weather permitting.  We will schedule 4 Playdays throughout the summer, $10 per rider per Playday.  Must be a current member with a signed waiver on file.  Riders under the age of 18 must have a 2024 helmet waiver on files.  Contact Annette Williams at 541-910-0401 or Carol Grubbe at 541-786-8110 for more information.

Roping Club:   Mondays and Thursdays for practice, start date June.  

Barrel Club:     Wednesdays for practice and point nights. Start date will be in May Weather permitting.  Contact Kaylee Knieriem 406-493-7214 for information.

Trail/Show Club:     We are looking for people who would like to coordinate a horse show or Trail obstacles.  We are open to your ideas.  Contact Annette Williams at 541-910-0401 for more information.

    Wrangler Team Roping on August 11th
   
The Board of Directors normally meets on the first Monday of each month at the Maverick Clubhouse at 6:30 pm.  Meetings are open and we encourage you to volunteer and get involved with the club.  The Board has been meeting by Teleconference due to Covid 19.  Please contact Annette Williams, Secretary at 541-910-0401 for more information

Updated membership forms provided March 2024.  Please submit your membership form with the signed waiver as soon as possible.  You are required to be a current member with a signed waiver on file in order to use the facilities and ride in the arenas.
